We All Face Discouragement

Ever feel discouraged, these thoughts are running through your head?
‘I can’t do this, I’m already late, I shouldn’t even try’
‘This’ll sound lame, nobody’ll read it’
‘We’ve talked about this, nothing I say is new.’
These are some of the things that go through my mind when I write (even now), I’m sure the list could continue, especially if we widen the topic to life in general.
I’m an introvert, perfectionist, over-thinker. These don’t always help me with my day to day life.
When writing I don’t constantly feel talented enough to keep going. But I do because I don’t want to go without writing.
My passion is writing, reading and connecting and sharing the joys with the people who love it too, but that’s not always reason enough to keep going.

COMBAT that inner voice that stops you.
Write OFTEN all the time. Small sentence, journal. When those thoughts are going through my head, I should be looking to God, not seeking to gain the compliments and assurances of others (although some days, I as well as my fellow writers just need encouragement). Here are some of my favorite praise songs to listen to for encouragement.

The Voice of Truth,
That's What Faith Can Do

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

I hope y’all are encouraged, fellow writer, keep writing!

-Romans 15:13-
